Year 13

In September year 13 will be approaching the  'Acting Auditions' unit. This is Unit 18 of the BTEC Performing Arts course and will be led by Miss Kent in spirit and Mrs McAinsh in body!

Aims and Objectives of this Unit;

• Know how to select materia suitable for audition.
• Know how to relate vocal technique to character and style.
• Be able to use vocal technique in performance.

Assessment will take place of atleast three audition pieces, two of which must be contrasting.

Suggested works;

• Shakespeare monologue.
• Monologue from Willy Russell repertoire.
• Free choice.

It is in your best interests that you begin searching for potential pieces immediately as finding the perfect piece is both difficult and demanding.

The online 'Learning Resource' is currently being developed for this unit.
